This photo was also taken on October 8, 1970.  It shows the progress of UC's growth along Pat Booker Road towards Loop 1604 and I-35.  Rose Garden Estates has been finished and so has part of Coronado Village, south of Coronado Boulevard.  Universal Square is just being cleared for construction.  H.E.B. and accompanying stores at the corner of Kitty Hawk and Pat Booker are being constructed and will open soon.  Loop 1604 is a two-lane road that goes between UC and Live Oak, crosses I-35, then meanders on north.  Live Oak is also well-developed by this time.  Jack's Auto Parts and salvage yard is in the triangle of land just north of Coronado Village.
