This 11 February 1932 photo taken towards the southeast, shows about half of future Universal City in the foreground. The checkerboard street layout of "Old Town" can be seen in the middle distance. The road that enters at the lower right is Edens Road, later called Selma Road, Old Selma Road, and then Kitty Hawk Road. The 90-degree turn of Edens Road is where the entrance to the UC Public Works is today. A narrow dirt road going southeast (up) from the 90-degree turn leads to the Edens Farm and cemetery.
