This is my brother Greg (left) and me by a Lockheed T-33 on the parking apron in front of the Base Control Tower.  This photo was taken in 1956.  Landsberg had no T-33s assigned, so this must have been a visitor, probably from Fuerstenfeldbruck.  The Base Tower served as backdrop for the 1963 movie "The Great Escape," starring Steve McQueen.  (Charles Hoffman Photo)
