With training classes coming and going, there were many ceremonies at Landsberg.  Flanked by two Harvard Mark IVs, Colonel Joseph B. Latshaw speaks at this one.  For a long time I thought that these photos were of the ceremony where the base was officially turned back to the Germans.  However, because that ceremony took place December 14, 1957, when the weather could be quite nasty, it appears that this ceremony was held earlier in the year.
