Although this map lists units that, because of realignments within the United States Air Forces in Europe, weren't present by the time we arrived in March 1955, it does give a good idea of the layout of Landsberg Air Base.  Not shown on this map, our apartment building (House 96) was located to the left of building 11, which is coded as VIP Quarters, and was built in that narrow tree-lined area between the parking lot and the base perimeter.  The top part of the map is to the south and the bottom part is to the north.
